Meet Arpan Pandit
I’m an entrepreneur, employer, farmer, and Cambridge resident who believes local government should be practical, accessible, and accountable to the people it serves.
Running businesses has taught me that good leadership starts with listening. It means understanding the problem, managing money responsibly, making difficult decisions when necessary, and most importantly — following through.
Over the past four years, Cambridge has become the community where my family and I have built our life, our businesses, and our future. Through my work, I speak with residents, employees, families, seniors, and small business owners every day. I hear what is working — and what needs to improve.
I’m not a career politician. I’m someone who works, employs people, pays taxes, manages budgets, solves problems, and understands how decisions made at City Hall affect people in the real world.

Why I'm running
Ward 8 Deserves a Fresh Voice
I’m running for Ward 8 Councillor because residents deserve representation that is visible, accessible, responsive, and focused on results.
Ward 8 is changing. New homes are being built, traffic is increasing, infrastructure is under pressure, and residents are paying more in property taxes every year. Growth can be positive — but only when city services and infrastructure keep pace.
For too many residents, basic municipal issues such as snow clearing, road conditions, traffic, neighbourhood safety, communication, and responsible spending continue to be frustrating.
I believe a councillor should do more than attend meetings. A councillor should be present in the neighbourhood, communicate regularly, ask difficult questions at City Hall, and make sure residents know how their tax dollars are being spent.
I’m running to bring a fresh perspective, stronger accountability, and a practical approach to Ward 8.
Better basic services. Responsible growth. Smarter spending. Stronger communication. That is the kind of representation I want to bring to Ward 8.
